Bear Den

Our Bear Den is lead by Jeff Sipos and myself, Cinnamon Cifani.  We were brought into Cub Scouts beacuse of my son Vinny who is also Jeff’s grandson, or as Jeff calls his grandchildren, The G-Droids.

We currently have 6 awesome scouts in our Den, who also happen to have some pretty awesome parents too.  We are blessed with a group of families who work together seamlessly.  If something needs to be done, someone steps up to get it done.  We all know how fast our children grow up and we are trying to take this time and enjoy it.  Cub Scouts is about the Scout & Adult partner working together, grow together, having fun together and being an active participant in their child’s life.

Just within our Den we have started our own traditions.  We now hold a fall & spring kickball game.  We have a Den picnic each summer, and we did a brain storming night at the Jump Yard.

As the boys, and parents will tell you, I love pictures!! I am always clicking that flash, but they like it deep down inside. As you go through the pictures I’m sure you will find many pictures of the kids “having fun” with the pictures.  What struck us the most as I was updating our Pack’s Instagram account, follow us at strongsvillepack226 or post a picture at #strongsvillepack226, was how fast they are growing. The changes in just 2 years,

Most people who know me, my Den included, know that I don’t camp, I just don’t like it. But thankfully my husband (daddy) steps up to do that part.  Now, knowing that I don’t camp, I not only signed my son up for Cub Scouts, I volunteered to be the leader, eventually.  Looking back at that decision now, it was a decision that if I had passed up, I never would of understood what a wonderful experience our family would of missed out on. My husband, thought I was taking on too much, and about halfway through the first year, I thought that too.  But, the places we’ve gone, the friends that we have made, the experiences that we would never of done on our own, makes me thankful that my son wanted to be a Cub Scout so bad that I knew I had to be the leader if this was going to happen.
